The Shave Mobile is a device that can make calls and also be your electric shaver. It’s another lame idea to merge two products into one. Just pop the bottom piece off and it’ll reveal the blade. Press the button on the side and the phone will start vibrating where you can continue to shave off that 5 o’ clock shadow. Whatever you do, please don’t shave and talk at the same time. This is an excellent device for Ron.
The Wi-Fi model is out on April 3rd. I’d love to have one but i’m no way paying $500.00 for it especially when i have a netbook already. But it’ll be pretty cool to be watching a movie in a slim device with a nice size that you can hold in your hands.
Amazon is slashing about 50% off on certain boxsets. Samurai Champloo is $38.99 and a highly recommended watch. Another decent one would be Devil May Cry for $29.49.
There’s so many variations of an alarm clock. There was a time when i searched for one to think it was cool but only ended up annoying. All the “cool” looking alarm clocks always comes with the super annoying feature. Today i saw a deal going on for the Flying Alarm Clock. Sounds cool with it’s catchy name until you read the product description:
At your preset time the propeller launches into the air with all the manic energy of a Tazmanian devil. The siren is inescapable, the landing could be anywhere in your room, and it won’t shut the hell up until you get up, find, and then replace the propeller on the base of the alarm clock.
If you really can’t wake yourself up and it’s costing you your job maybe this alarm clock should be sleeping right next to you. As of now you can get it for just under $12.00 with free shipping.
That guy in the picture just looks like a damn goofball. If you bring this to a camp resort i can guarantee you that you will be hit with multiple tranquilizer darts within 5 minutes. This could be put in the monster concept art for Resident Evil’s next game. I know somewhere right now Dyra is staring at his computer telling himself how cool this sleeping bag is.
This is the Google phone. Most are proclaiming it the best Android phone yet. Yup, that means better than the already powerful Droid. T-mobile customers can get it for $180 with a new 2 year contract. The cost of the device unlocked is $530. It’ll work on AT&T but with no 3G since the phone only supports T-Mobile’s 3G band. It will be available to Verizon customers also sometime this year. The Nexus One is totally giving the iPhone a run for it’s money. Gizmodo has all the Q’s and A’s about the phone so jump to the source link below to check out the inside specs it runs on. If the phone has caught your wallet, jump here to buy it.
When i had the Nokia N97 i was pretty satisfied with it. Even with the ugly interface, i managed to look past it. It had a pretty good camera and packed on 32gb of storage space. After 5 months two big problems occured that finally made me want to get a new phone. First, after installing a few apps the N97′s speed was down to a crawl. Just opening up my contact list took forever. The second problem was the way the camera was built. It had a lens cover which would seem to make sense but somewhere in the lens it had a gap where dust was collecting. So once i slide the cover to use the camera it would scratch the lens. Big fail because now when i use flash it makes a washed out mark on the left side of every picture i take.
When the G1 smartphone came out i was pretty impressed with the UI but not so much of the phone design. When the HTC Hero came out i knew that was the phone i wanted but it went exclusively to Sprint. There went my dreams…or maybe not. Verizon was recently blessed by Google with the Droid and Droid Eris. The Droid Eris was basically the HTC Hero with a little body change. Once i tried it out at the Verizon store i fell in love. I finally had to say bye to the N97 and T-mobile and now reside with the Eris under Verizon Wireless (great service too).
THE REVIEW
The phone was quick and snappy. It’s nice and slim so no more bulky pockets. I was surprised by the amount of apps in the Android Market too. Everything was great but of course no phone is perfect. So far the only thing i had problems with is the virtual keyboard and battery life. The buttons were kind of small for my big fingers so i have a little trouble typing quickly especially hitting keys in the far left and right side of the screen. This is why in the past i always bought qwerty phones. The battery life is an embarrassment. It drains quickly and i wasn’t even doing much. The main culprit is the “mobile network” setting which is the internet connection. When it’s on it’ll eat up the battery quickly. Luckily, a better battery for the Eris is coming out but it’s going to cost around $40-$60. Even with those problems, the phone is sweet and the same goes for the Android OS.
