Black Friday Sucks

Posted in Lifestyle by Riddy

If you wanted a HDTV and a laptop for a good price, then Black Friday was worth it. Other than that there weren’t that much of great deals. The ones that were, needed stupid tickets (damn stupid Best Buy). All i grabbed was a Blu-Ray movie and clothes! I was aiming for the $30 ‘09 games at Walmart but the line and service there took way too long since there were like 50 people waiting to get the game. Vann got some good deals like that 10 megapixel camera. One good thing about this year was the fact no old lady was hitting me with her cart. I’ve read some online news that other states still go crazy this friday running and killing people for a piece of item. I even read that Dyra’s homeboy Chad Johnson was a part of the rush at a Kentucky Best Buy. I guess he knows a Rock Band 2 deal when he sees one.
And to Dyna, the man of all talk, we weren’t surprised you would bail out on us. We all know you’re a diva who can’t afford to have his nails broken waiting in line or maybe the fact that you have to look good even if it’s going to Walmart at 4am.

How Random Can Martha Get?

Posted in Food, TV/Movie by Riddy

Ever since she got out of jail it seems like she’s a whole new person. This has to be a WTF moment of the month. Snoop Dogg with Martha making mash potatoes? Maybe on the next episode she can get Suge Knight to bake chocolate chip cookies. The hood is not ready for Martha.

ESPN DFFFL Week 12: No One Wants to Be a Loser

Posted in Lifestyle, Sports by Riddy

A bunch of close games this week. It figures, since people are fighting to make it to the wildcard. Just when i got lucky and beat Dan, Team ThUnder Achievers gets a win and so does Team Hiphopopotamus. So now Seyha is edging in on Lucky as Lucky is edging in on me. There’s no way im playing in the toilet bowl! I refuse! Thanks to Drew Brees not only did i get a win but it helped Team Ball Busters978 out too. The MVP this week is Team Hiphopopotamus with 106 points. He gets his second win by exposing Sothey’s weak team. Another thing to note is Team Panthers is on a 6 game winning streak. Team Ballbusters978 is on a 3 game winning streak while Team Quagmire is on a 4 game losing streak. Lastly, the league fees are due so pay up or Chung will lock your team up. That’s not all, if you refuse, Dyra will be driving in his minivan to your house and egg it. The egging part isn’t scary but having Dyra at your house is!

Did You Vote for the NFL Pro Bowl-ers Yet?

Posted in Sports by Riddy

Since it was Ron’s birthday a few days ago we all must vote for Kevin Walter as a pro bowl receiver! Don’t also forget to vote for J.T. ‘O Sullivan, Dwayne Bowe, and Torry Holt! I’m not sure if they’re even on the list though. If they are, they shouldn’t be. Vote here.

Rule # 1 Movie

Posted in Review, TV/Movie by Riddy

Aka: Rule Number One
Year: 2008
Directed: Kelvin Tong
Genre: Action/Thriller/Horror
Country: Hong Kong/Singapore
Cast: Shawn Yue, Ekin Cheng, Stephanie Che, Fiona Xie
Synopsis:

Rookie Sergeant Lee (Shawn Yue) is injured in a shoot-out and is assigned to the dubious-sounding Miscellaneous Affairs Department (MAD). There, he is paired up with Inspector Wong (Ekin Cheng), a jaded and alcoholic veteran who explains that MAD’s role is to answer supernatural calls. Wong explains MAD’s rule number one – there are no ghosts. For every seemingly inexplicable phenomenon, there is a corresponding scientific and rational explanation. MAD begins investigating a string of bizarre teenage suicides – impossible suicides, unless the victims were possessed. As Lee and Wong follow the clues, they realise something sinister is heading their way.

A decent movie with some good jump scenes. However, i think the movie is more focused on the mystery part than the horror genre. The storyline is something that’s been done before but it works well here. The twist is another hit or miss type. Either you can tell right away what the ending is or you’d be surprised. All in all, it’s worth watching.
