Ever since the ’09 Skyline GT-R claimed king in the Nurburgring track with 7:29:03, other car companies warned enthusiasts that they would have one that would take down that record. One car, the Corvette ZR1 has taken the record now with a time of 7:26:4. Of course that’s where the debate began. The ZR1 beat the lap of the regular GT-R. Some say once the GT-R ‘Spec-V’ comes out it’ll be a different story. You be the judge. Meanwhile we still have Honda who says the upcoming NSX will also beat the GT-R’s lap time.
